This is a question I often hear from those who are new to the industry. They hear all the big financial claims, but those they know in the industry aren't making any money. The reality is that, just like in any entrepreneurial business, a large percentage of people don't make much money. This isn't because there is anything wrong with network marketing, it's because people either aren't trained and supported or they don't work their business long enough to succeed.
Although portrayed that way by some, network marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. Now, some people do get rich relatively quickly. I know people who have gone from low paying labor jobs to six figure incomes in a year or two in network marketing. The great part is that there really isn't anything that inhibits a person from making big money in network marketing, except themself. If you find a good company with a product or service you can get excited about, you recieve excellent initial training and on going support, you work your business at least 10 hours a week, and you stick with it long enough, you will build a large income.
Okay, back to the question, do people really make BIG money in network marketing? Here is a site I was directed to that shows the top 500 income earners in network marketing. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this site, but I do know a number of these people and their incomes (as I've heard) are accurate, but the key is that you can see that there are people making very BIG money in network marketing and you could too!

Have you found a good company with a product or service you are passionate about? Have you are are you receiving solid training from someone who is already successful? Do you have a team of people ready to support you through 3-way calls, webinars, teleconferences, and two-on-one meetings? Do you have a clear plan for your business that enables you to be productive every single day? Have you made a long-term commitment to your business and have set goals that you've presented to your upline leaders?
If you can answer "yes" to these questions, then all you have to do is be consistantly persistant long-term and you may one day be on that list of the top 500 income earners. Back in the 90's I would have been on that list, but have been retired for too long. However, I too am back in the saddle and will be striving to add my name to the list in the near future. I hope that we will both be there and enjoy the journey along the way.
